Planning Your Visit to Emerson
Here are some common questions and answers that should help you know what to expect when
you visit Emerson.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE SERVICES HELD?
Services are held every Sunday. Our Worship Service is for all ages at 10 am. Child care is provided for young children and babies. Coffee and Fellowship follows the Worship Service. Adult and Children’s RE begins at 11:30 am and usually is over at 12:30. Our address is 2799 Holly Springs Road, Marietta, Ga. 30062. Our Telephone number is 770-578-1533.
IS PARKING AVAILABLE?
Parking is available in the area surrounding the church. Please arrive early to give yourself time to find a space. The parking attendants try to save spaces for visitors.
IS THE CHURCH ACCESSIBLE FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES?
Emerson has no facilities for wheelchairs.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
Absolutely! Child care for ages 5 and under is available year-round. Children over 5 are invited to attend Religious Education (RE) classes or attend services. Drop-ins to RE are always welcome.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress is casual. Wear what is comfortable for you.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT A SUNDAY SERVICE?
A typical service includes thoughtful readings or personal stories from our minister or church members, musical performances by our choir, singing together, and a sermon by our minister. Visit our online newsletter for the upcoming sermon topics.
WILL SOMEONE TRY TO "SELL ME" ON YOUR CHURCH?
We want to make every visitor fell welcomed and comfortable. You will not be pressured or given a “sales pitch”. We are just glad that you have taken the time to visit us and hope you feel comfortable enough to visit again.

If you are interested in any of our activities, call the office and the church secretary at 770-578-1533. The office will direct you to the right person for each activity you are interested in.
CAN I BE INVOLVED IN ACTIVITES IF I'M NOT A MEMBER?
Membership is not a requirement for activities. Music, social action, and socializing are available to all attendees!
