Emerson UU Website Terms of Service Agreemnt

When using the website of Emerson Universalist Association (Emerson UU), you agree to the terms and conditions listed on this page (the “Terms of Service Agreement”), which may be updated by us from time to time.

Emerson UU may provide, and third parties may provide, links to other websites or resources. Because Emerson UU has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that Emerson UU is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources. You also acknowledge and agree that Emerson UU does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such websites or resources.

You further acknowledge and agree that Emerson UU shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any content, goods or services available on or through any non-Emerson UU website or resource.

You agree not to: (1) modify emersonuu.org, (2) publish, display, disclose, rent, lease, modify, loan, distribute, or create derivative works based on emersonuu.org or its documentation or any part thereof without the express written permission of the EmersonUU, (3) remove, obliterate, or cancel from view any copyright, trademark, confidentiality or other proprietary notice, mark or legend appearing on emersonuu.org, (4) reverse engineer, decompile, translate, adapt or dissemble emersonuu.org, nor shall you attempt to create the source code from the object code for emersonuu.org without the express written permission of Emerson UU, or (5) assign the license for the Service.

All materials posted on this site, unless otherwise identified, are owned by Emerson UU, the Unitarian Universalist Association or are Public Domain. Any material owned by Emerson UU are subject to copyright by Emerson UU.  Any material owned by the Unitarian Universalist Association are subject to copyright by UUA.

The names, trademarks, service marks, and logos of EmersonUU or the UUA appearing on this site may not be used in any advertising or publicity without our prior express written permission. Email requests to office@emersonuu.org for Emerson Documents and Media or  webeditorial@uua.org for any document or media owned by the UUA.

Content Disclaimer

Emerson UU staff attempts to maintain the highest accuracy of content on its website. Any errors or omissions should be reported to office@emersonuu.org.

Web addresses at our site may change periodically because information has been moved, deleted, or reorganized. When this occurs, the old addresses are no longer accurate. When you use an old address, you will get a Page Not Found (404) screen. If you receive this message please discontinue use of the address and contact the Emerson office.

Communication Forums

Participation in official EmersonUU’s electronic mailing lists, social media or web-based discussions forums is a privilege and not a right. Mailing list and social media content content is not approved by the Emerson UU nor does it necessarily reflect the views, policies, or practices of the Emerson. Posted material not related to the purposes of a particular mailing list may be removed at the sole discretion of the list administrators. Emerson UU reserves the right to suspend participants from mailing lists who violate established standards and rules. 

Submitting Material to Emerson UU

By submitting material to the Emerson UU, you affirm that:

  • You own the copyright to this material or have written permission from the copyright holder that grants the Emerson UU the right to use and distribute it.
  • You have written permission from the composers and performers of any music (or other performance) to include it in this material, and to grant the right to play the music on emersonuu.org.
  • You have written permission from people who appear in the material for their image/sound to be used on Emerson UU.
  • The material does not break any state or federal laws, or defame anyone.
